About

As part of Folk Beasts, in collaboration with The Golden Thread Project, we delivered make-at-home art packs designed by some of our favourite artists.

Pack No. 9 was designed by illustrator and artist Jay Cover and inspired by the folklore of the Manx Cat. In the early 1800’s this animal was once described as a Cabbit, a cross between a Cat and a Rabbit, due to the animals strange appearance being a cat with no tail.

Recipients of this pack were tasked with creating their very own folk beasts by combining their favourite animals into a brand new species. From Bhalehogs, Heggiefoxes to Pitterfigs and Snats artists of all ages set to drawing a whole world of new creatures.
