Hart Club are hiring three roles to join their team, based in Waterloo, London. We are looking for a Studio Assistant, Store Assistant and Social Media and Marketing Assistant to help in the day to day running of our community organisation. DEADLINE – 15th FEBRUARY 2022

This is an opportunity to learn key skills about working in a community focused organisation. We have an amazing team who are passionate about co-learning and skill sharing and you will have insight into all aspects of the running’s of Hart Club.

We pride ourselves on being an organisation that is understanding, flexible and leans into the strengths of the individual. As an organisation centring diversity, we take great care to ensure that each person feels safe, seen and valued within the team and are open to applicants of any background.

We will support individuals with their CV as well as any more visual based portfolios that could be helpful. There will be regular opportunities for team discussion and input which will support growing confidence in communication skills. As we learn more about the individuals strengths we will offer tailored advice about future opportunities within Hart Club, our network and beyond.

Store Assistant

We are looking for someone who is enthusiastic about diversity in the Arts to support the smooth running and growth of our online art store.

This person would be organised and excited to help us run and expand our online store that promotes artists we work with. We are looking for someone who is kind, engaged and enthusiastic to join our team.

We are based in London (SE1) and the majority of the work will be done from our studio, though this is flexible and some days might be from home or off-site.

Role requirements:

– Organised and methodical with good attention to detail.

– A warm and welcoming attitude to people from all backgrounds.

– Interest in the arts and cultural sector, particularly passionate about inclusivity.

– Computer literate with a willingness to learn new skills and programs.

– Active interest in discover new artists/artworks.

Social Media and Marketing Assistant

We are looking for someone who is passionate about diversity and inclusion within the Arts, who will support us to share the work we do with a wider audience. We are looking for someone who is kind, engaged and enthusiastic.

Role requirements:

– Interest in art and neurodiversity

– A warm and welcoming attitude to people from all backgrounds.

– Experience with writing and copy editing

– Proficiency with Social media platforms

– Basic understanding of Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, Adobe Suite

– Basic design and editing skills

Preferable:

– Experience working with and/or personal experience around people with learning differences and disabilities

– Some proficiency with and basic web design and content creation

– Photography / videography skills

 

Studio Assistant

This person would be organised and willing to help us keep on top of the wide range of activities taking place at Hart Club. Our space includes a gallery, workshop, kitchen, screen printing studio and ceramics studio. We are looking for someone who is kind, engaged and enthusiastic to join our team.

Role requirements:

– An interest in art and neurodiversity

– A warm and welcoming attitude to people from all backgrounds.

– Basic understanding of space maintenance ie painting / tidying / handy jobs

– Good organisational skills

– Team player

Preferable:

– Experience working with and/or personal experience around people with learning differences and disabilities

– Experience for practical and manual tasks

– Experience in art handling and / or decorating work

– Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite

– Experience in paper or textile screen-printing, risography or ceramics

Details

Hart Club is a London based community interest organisation dedicated to championing neurodiversity in the Arts. We operate from a gallery and project space in London SE1.

It started as a gallery to platform the work of artists that so often go unseen due to the exclusionary structures that shape the art world. The project quickly developed to extend far beyond this an now includes an online shop and alternative arts education programme, Hart School.
